Gym Day

It can be easy to get intimidated by the gym, everyone around you doing all kinds of different exercises and using different types of equipment everywhere. Try these tips to help you beat gym intimidation and feel more confident about going to the gym.

1.Join a Class

What better way to get comfortable than to meet people who frequent your gym. Joining a class can be a good way to get into a routine and socialize at the same time.

  1. Take a Friend

Get out with a friend, they can be a great way to keep you motivated and more productive at the gym. Taking a friend can give you someone to socialize with and make you more comfortable. A little healthy competition doesn’t hurt either. Watching your friend power through those last few minutes might just be what you need to keep it going.

  1. Take Tunes

Music can be a great tool to drown out distractions and help you zero in on your workout. Jamming to your favorite tunes can also keep you motivated and get you pumped for you gym time.

  1. Plan it Out

Having a plan will help you from being distracted and keep you from having feelings of uncertainty when you’re at the gym. If you already have an exercise plan, you’ll be a lot less intimidated by what’s going on around you as well.

  1. Get a Trainer

Your gym experience can also be a lot less intimidating with a personal trainer. A trainer can guide you around the gym, show you the ropes, and give you the confidence that you have the right routine for you and you know how to do it properly.
