You can try all these fitness classes and many more at Adventure Fitness Athletic Club! We are proud to offer a wide array of activities at our gym in Thornton, CO. Our goal is to provide our members with fitness classes that are:

Taught by Our Gym’s Own Personal Trainers and Fitness Professionals

At Adventure Fitness Athletic Club, all of our fitness classes are led by our team of highly qualified and certified personal trainers and other fitness professionals who will be there to answer your questions and ensure you get the most out of every class. From verifying that you’re using proper form to encouraging you to reach your goals, our team will instruct and inspire you to achieve your best.

Fitness Classes You’ll Find at Our Gym

While some of our fitness classes are seasonal, most are available year-round. Here are some examples of the classes you can take at our gym:

  • Nordic Walking—This outdoor walking and hiking class is taught by our gym’s owner, Susan Schaffner, who is a certified Nordic Walking personal instructor.
  • Bariatric Support Group Meetings—Free to members and non-members, these meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month by AFAC owner and certified Bariatric Support Group Leader Susan Schaffner.
  • Yoga—Our yoga instructor will guide you through specific poses, breathing techniques, and meditation during each life-changing class.
  • Barre Class—The high-intensity, low-impact movements in this fitness class are rooted in elements of Pilates, ballet, and yoga.
  • POP Pilates®—Inspired by regular Pilates, POP Pilates incorporates faster movements and a dance-like rhythm throughout the class.
  • Power Plate—Learn how Power Plates can enhance your strength training with the use of vibration.
  • Spin and More—Burn some serious calories on and off the spin bike during this comprehensive and fast-paced workout.
  • Ski Prep Class—Train for the slopes by working out muscles you might not have used much since last year’s ski season.
  • Cardio Kickboxing—Learn the fundamentals of boxing and kickboxing including the use of proper form, footwork, and striking technique.
  • Boot Camp—Our boot-camp style fitness classes are held inside and outside (weather permitting), and motivate members to achieve greater weight loss, endurance, and strength.
  • Pickleball—This easy-to-learn game combines badminton, ping-pong, and tennis into one fun, calorie-burning, muscle-toning workout.
  • TRX Training—During TRX, or Total Resistance Exercises, you’ll learn how to use suspension training and your own bodyweight to develop strength and flexibility.

AFAC Is a Full-Service Gym

When you’re done with one of our challenging fitness classes, AFAC offers several services that can help you relax and unwind. Try out our cryotherapy chamber to reduce inflammation and muscle soreness in less than 3 minutes, or sink into our Hydro Massage Bed for a half-hour of pure bliss. How to Sign Up for Fitness Classes

All fitness classes at Adventure Fitness Athletic Club are free for our members, who can sign up on this page or through our MINDBODY app. Non-members can join one of our classes for a $25.00 fee. Stop by the gym to learn more or call us at 720-849-0245. We look forward to seeing you there!
